BurieD-Arc (known as D-Arc in Asia) by DAIHEN is a single-pass, high-speed welding system that delivers deep weld penetration along with stable arc control on thick plate...without requiring extensive weld joint preparation of conventional multi-pass welding. DAIHEN BurieD-Arc is the world's first welding system delivering stable, high-current control required for buried-arc transfer. The electrical arc serves to locally melt the base metal and melts the wire filler metal buried into the weld. The welding heat reaches well inside the substrate to achieve deep penetration. This allows BurieD-Arc to deliver up to a 19mm thick weld in a single pass all while maximizing efficiency. BurieD-Arc automated welding system components include: • High-output welding power supply, (WB-DPS) • 1000A max welding current, (dual parallel) • High-speed wire feeder, (pull feeder: DF-PL, push feeder: DF-PS) • 70m/min. max feed speed • High-current, water-cooled torch, (DTWH6500S) • Precise welding current waveform control ensures stable buried-arc performance • Welding rates in excess of 25 pounds/hour when automated • Manual welding is supported in either single configuration or parallel configuration BurieD-Arc is the combination of a high-output welding system with the stable current control of our exclusive Welbee technology. The precise welding current waveform control ensures stable buried-arc performance with voltage amplitude control, and provides cyclical control for two modes of weld transfer, metal drop transfer and rotating pool transfer. Metal drop transfer heats transfers to the base metal bottom for deep penetration. Rotating pool transfers string action establishes and maintains the weld puddle. Voltage amplitude control provides stable buried-arc transfer and uniform bead distribution with no weld spatter.
