On 4th February, Gabriel & Dresden deliver the seventeenth mix in the series. “We love Gabriel & Dresden. Their music inspired us and their remixes changed our map. Their first album was a masterpiece of bleeding-heart indie-electro that pulsed with the rarest thing in our scene: a clear and compelling personality. We all played the hell out of their tracks. Then they just stopped. Every time we saw them we’d beg them to do another album. There were always obstacles. When we heard about their 2016 Kickstarter campaign, we immediately sent money and followed their progress like the fans we are. We signed them to Anjunabeats. Their phenomenal second Anjunabeats album, ‘Remedy’, was released just as the world entered lockdown. While many (quite rightly) bemoaned the unfairness of it all, Dave and Josh went to work doing what they do best: connecting people. The supportive, optimistic and diverse community they have built around Club Quarantine on Twitch is, perhaps, their greatest work to date. This mix is a rollercoaster ride.
