Heating Network Connection Bytom and Zabrze in Poland

In the first half of 2018 a project of the construction of the heating network connecting the two Silesian cities: Bytom and Zabrze, was implemented. A part of the pipeline DN600 was laid trenchlessly under the national road DKK88 and the railway tracks. To ensure the top reliability of the future operation of the network, an SMR (steel in steel) pipe system was used. The SMR systems consists of the steel medium pipe, insulation of the mineral wool and they are both covered by the steel, PE coated jacket pipe (DN800 in this particular case).
