The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has launched a massive search and rescue (SAR) operation after a commercial passenger vessel sank in the waters of Baluk-Baluk Island early Monday morning. According to PCG officials, vessel M/V Trisha Kerstin 2 departed the Port of Zamboanga on Sunday night carrying 332 passengers and crew. It was bound for Jolo, Sulu, when it encountered trouble at sea.
