PMK leader, Dr. S. Ramadoss has said that there will be no alliance talks with AIADMK for the assembly elections until the demand for sub-quota for 'Vanniyar' community jobs and education is fulfilled. This is a kind of ultimatum given by the PMK to the AIADMK. The PMK has asked for 20 per cent horizontal reservation for the Vanniyar community is education and jobs. Although this demand is under consideration of the AIADMK govt but no decision has been made on it yet. Earlier, the AIADMK constituted a commission to study the caste statistics in the state.
