I don't know why I'm this lucky but JennProdz extended the deadline AGAIN!!! and I managed to make this video!! I wanted to pick a sin few people were choosing. That's why I chose envy. I know you can explain Dan's actions by saying he was proud and full of hate but I think it all started with him being envious of Keith. Dan had "everything" but his family and his friends weren't at all like Keith's. Keith was loved and Lucas and Karen cared for him. While they hated Dan. Then Keith and Deb slept together and then that envy turned to hate. So he enjoys seeing his brother suffer (the jules' storyline for example!!) But why did I choose envy anyway?? Cause that's the feeling that triggered EVERYTHING! And that's what Dan says in 9x11: "I was always jealous of Keith. Even when we were kids. I was athletic, popular, all the things that he wasn't. But still I was jealous of him. And people were drawn to Keith, and I hated him for it. [...] The day I shot Keith, I was in a dark place.[...] My life was spiraling downwards, and meanwhile Keith was building a new life with my high school sweetheart and the child I abandoned, and every time I looked at him, I felt like I was punched in the gut." So he was envious of him even in the third season when Keith and Karen finally came together. You can clearly see it when he's parked outside the cafe and he's looking through the window. And then Keith tells him "This isn't your life". He wants Keith's life. So yes, envy. Of course I used only the first 3 seasons. Oh and some of the text is green cause you know envy's color is green. I hope it works. I really love this contest!!! I hope Dan Scott gets me through :-p Oh and this is my first try with SV12. I don't like it that much, but still... it's the first try.
