Vibhishana advises Rama to confront the threat personally, and a fierce battle erupts. Mangkonkan unleashes his deadly discus, cutting down many of the monkey warriors. Although Rama manages to destroy the weapon, he is struck by a counterattack and wounded. Having lost his principal weapon, Mangkonkan turns to illusion, shrouding the sky in sorcery and raining burning embers upon the monkey army. Vibhishana then counsels Rama to invoke the Brahmastra to break the enchantment. The spell collapses, the illusions vanish, and Mangkonkan is ultimately defeated. The composition opens with violin double stops, evoking the incantatory quality of a ritual chant. The music then unfolds through minimalist textures and harsh intervallic relationships, creating an atmosphere of tension and mystery that reflects the magical illusions covering the sky. Rapid scalar passages exchanged between the instruments symbolize the release of arrows that shatter the sorcery. At this moment, a melody derived from the TMA source emerges in unison among all instruments except the piano, revealing a simple Thai melodic contour. The melody then transforms and migrates into the violin and clarinet, expanding its expressive range. The piece concludes with the original melodic idea presented in an expanded, heavily slowed rhythmic form. This final statement serves as a decisive musical resolution—an affirmation of victory that breaks the cycle of deception and battlefield stratagems, bringing the conflict to a definitive close.
