Ten Minute Tensegrity Spiral - Series (2/5) - Easy to Print Model

This is part two of my deep dive into tensegrity models, creating a 5-part series. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss future models! Check out the Sanford Prime channel to find previous videos you may have missed. I find things like this fascinating. At first glance it defies gravity, you can't push a rope right? How are the strings holding this up? But, when you look at it closely the whole model becomes understandable. Tensional Integrity or Tensegrity is how this whole model is held together beyond initial belief. I found that putting a few of these together myself gained me the loose understanding of how it works, but also found that Tensegrity goes way deeper than I imagined as well. This model is designed differently from the first tensegrity model, it uses circles and spirals as the base and support. When assembled in a certain orientation, such as shown, if looked at from the end there appears to be a heart form from the coil ends. This is the reason for the angelic choir sound (if you haven't caught that). Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe.
