It can be hard to know just how to help someone who is struggling with a mental illness! So here are some tips to really help, and not hurt someone else. 1) Check in on them. See how they are doing and let them know you're there. 2) Educate yourself about their illness and let them teach you what it feels like for them. Try not to make assumptions. 3) Assist them in any way you can. This could be driving them to appointments, helping them find a good therapist, or even helping pay for things.
