I think typing "Recce" out so many times almost gave me an aneurism. It's pretty cringe. Reconnaissance fellas. Say it with me. Reconnaissance. let me also say... that opener was tactically dumb. standing in tall in a relatively open area. plus where was my ruck? What am I going to accomplish with 8 mags and a dream? Anyways, I unbox Garand Thumb's Company's new Chest Rig. https://onwardresearch.com/product/re... It seems like a quality piece of kit. One of the problems I have (as a skinny guy) when buying chest rigs is finding the happy medium between one of those dumb micro chest rigs that can't carry anything and the issued one that wraps all the way around my torso (and has the universe's worst harness. It reminds me of the type 56 chicom rig. fixed mag pouches in the center with accessory pouches on the outside. The MAC V SOG dudes loved those things. And they set the bar high for all reconnaissance units to follow. As of the time of publishing this video, the setup is: -Parashootergear Nairobi Knife Dangler with knife -Random dump pouch with a velcro adapter (I think from Aptus Design Group) -IFAK (probably from NAR) -Arbor Arms mini dump pouch thingy (it only takes up one column of molle... pretty sweet) -Banger pouch (emergency summer sausage ration... calorie dense) -In the admin pouch I have a notebook, map pens, map cut out. signal panel section, red chem light, pencil, and... I guess that's all off the top of my head -and 8 mags (though I'll probably swap 2 out for a smoke grenade) M81 isn't the best camo pattern, but it sure as heck looks dope. and it is good after it gets all dirty and faded from use. Now... all that's left is to do a 20km with this rig. I'm not too worried though, because the H-harness is quite good. Not shown: the 15 takes I did in the swamp the day before without a mag in the gun 🥲 Ok. I'm tired of typing. Time to to publish.
