I’ve had this idea kicking around for a WHILE, but put it off because I feared I wasn’t skilled enough to pull of what I envisioned. Eventually I knew I couldn’t hold onto this idea on my own any longer, sat down, and began drawing this out. Cut to many months later of on and off work, it’s finally complete for you all to enjoy. So, do that! I’d appreciate it. This is a visualization inspired both by the song Made to Last, the show Hazbin Hotel, and my Hazbin fic Death to Paradise. The “trial” chapter of that fic is basically the written version of this. I had originally planned to finish this before that chapter went out, but plans change! Do note this is not a one-to-one recreation of the written scene, as a musical sequence and a written conflict have to be paced differently in order to work. Bottom line is both version convey the same idea Lucifer and Lilith are in BIG trouble, and Adam’s gonna rub it in their faces as much as he can. Notes! 1. Adam should really not be wearing clothing, as in Death to Paradise, he notably did not eat the apple and thus did not realize he was unclothed. For the sake of my own comfort and not getting this video taken down or anything, I broke continuity a bit and covered him up. Sorry Adam fans ;-; 2. Daisy’s lines interchange between Eve and Sera a lot, mostly bc I struggled a LOT with which one her character would fit better, and just settled on both. DTP Sera wouldn’t directly challenge Adam in this way, nor would DTP Eve, but I thought the lines suited both women enough to at least convey that they are part of the scene, if that makes sense. 3. As stated above, this is not a one-to-one recreation of the written scene. Dialogue for example may not completely align, but I think if you’ve seen enough animatics on line you know the drill with that lol 4. The guy with winged ears is from DTP, he’s called The Messenger. He’s the one who communicated between Eden and Heaven, hence his connection to Adam, although that is not a significant plot thread in DTP. I just needed an angel for him to yell at in the scene and picked the Messenger. 5. Yes I know the courthouse only has one wall lined with angels, not the entire room. I didn’t realize that until way too late into production to change. 6. Lilith’s hair! Recently I’ve started drawing her with her canon hairstyle, and moving forward I think I will continue to do so, even for AU work, just to avoid any confusion about who she is (plus, I do like staying as close to the canon designs as possible). Same with the courthouse, it was way too late into production for me to switch Lilith’s hairstyle without it being distracting. I may draw this look for her still, I may not, idk yet, it’s all up in the air, but future animatics with her I will begin to use her canon hair/design more often. Adam's hair is staying as is here because I cannot for the life of me figure out his canon hair shape lmao 7. Lucifer is Jeremy Jordan. Like. Obviously. 8. Go listen to the Great Gatsby musical! It’s been SUCH a huge inspo for DTP and ROTL’s development as a whole, and it’s got plenty of Jeremy-led songs to envision Lucifer to XD.
