Suigetsu (水月) means: “Moon on the Water” and this philosophy will change depending on what ryuha you are studying. In this video, I explain how the ninja use suigetsu in a fight. . When you look at the moon reflecting off of the water, it will seem as though it is right there. But when you go to touch it, the water will ripple and you will realize that you are not even close. This idea is called Suigetsu. The ninja would make their presence and their movements appear to their opponent as if they were so close. Yet when the opponent would tray to capture or strike the ninja, they would see that they were not close enough to capture or strike, and the ninja would capitalize on their mistake to complete their objective. . This lesson is directly for those training in the traditional Japanese martial arts and self-defense techniques of the ninja and samurai, such as ninjutsu (ninpo) and bujutsu (budo). . #Ninjutsu #MartialArts #SelfDefense - Checkout Our Merch Here: https://teespring.com/stores/budo-ryu...
