Habi Ndeefi is based on true events of two boys, Haisam and Rasheed, and the strong bond between them despite their different nationalities. This pilot depicts the struggles, trauma, and discrimination that is still true to this day between the Lebanese people and the Syrian refugees who reside in Lebanon. Habi Ndeefi touches on the many years of hate crimes and unspeakable torture and death of both the Lebanese and Syrian people which originated from when the Syrian army first occupied Lebanon in 1976. As conflicts are still ongoing between the Lebanese and Syrian people, this pilot hopes to bring awareness to the continuing battles between the two races and wants people to see past the pain they still endure.
