Kathryn Schroeder is a Branch Davidian survivor. In Part 13, she describes her current and continued faith in David Koresh and what he taught. She returned to Waco and Mount Carmel in 2018 at the time of the 25th anniversary memorial on April 19, 2018. Clive Doyle is her most loved survivor. She appreciates that Clive came to see her once in prison. She states she would do it all over again, even losing her husband and even losing her kids. She knows that what she learned at Mount Carmel Center and what she believed was right for her. If the raid had not happened on February 28, 1993, and everyone was still alive, she would still be there, even if her kids had left after they grew up. She wouldn’t push her faith on anyone else, because you are judged on what you know, and that’s a lot to be judged on. Mount Carmel and her friends there are a part of her. She still considers herself a Branch Davidian and a member of the Wave Sheaf, although she does not deserve it. She gives an explanation of “Wave Sheaf.” She believes that if you hear a prophet and you follow him, and he’s wrong, then your blood is on his hands. If you hear a prophet and you don’t follow him, and he’s right, your blood is your hands. If you hear a prophet and you follow him, and he’s right, then you’re good. If you hear a prophet and you don’t follow him, and he’s wrong, then you’re good. If she doesn’t follow a prophet that is right, then how can she be with God? If she follows a prophet who is wrong, she is still with God. Being with God and being chosen is the most important thing. She believes that David Koresh was a prophet, the Son of God, a manifestation of God, “another being that God sent to the earth for us.” Many have come before David Koresh. David Koresh was one of those. She explains how David Koresh is another part of God. She does not currently follow any rituals or dietary restrictions. She tries to give her children the ability to be open-minded enough to help them get through this life and to not be a stumbling block to anyone else’s belief, and she will remain in her position with God.
