Palaios Panteleimonas is a beautiful, restored traditional settlement on the slopes of lower Olympus (altitude 700m.), a short distance from Thessaloniki (about 1-1. 5 hour drive) and Pieria. It is famous for its Macedonian architecture, stone houses, cobbled streets, stunning views of the Thermaikos Gulf and its picturesque paved center, making it an ideal destination all year round. Essentials and attractions Location: located in Pieria, near Neos Panteleimonas, 6 km. from the highway. Architecture: declared a traditional settlement with renovated stone houses with tiled roofs. Square: the center of the village, with perennial plane trees, the Church of Agios Panteleimonas and the old school.
