An animation of a concept idea of activating an airbag manually. In an emergency scenario where a crash is anticipated, one would be able to activate their airbag in a more controlled and slow manner and having it stay inflated rather than waiting for the crash itself to deploy it at a much faster rate which could in itself, cause an injury. While the airbag remains inflated, it detects when the driver and/or passenger is thrown towards it with force, and provides enough give to still shock absorb the impact. In this animation, a woman's brakes fail while she's traveling downhill. She pumps the brake pedal multiple times with no success at attempting to stop the vehicle. She anticipates that a crash is certain to happen in this given scenario. She activates the manual airbag feature that her car offers in order to pre-protect herself before she crashes.
