The 2052 uses a worm gear drive which is a good base for a smooth cranking vintage reel. I also like the fact that the spool uses a 6 washer drag stack. The original friction washers were leather. They still worked fairly well after oiling but that is one area that will be addressed with upgraded parts in part 3 of this series. The 2052 is a very nice vintage light spinning reel that was built to last in the USA. Thanks for watching the video and I hope it will be helpful to others.
