The environment In the tutorial was made actually made by a newer version of the A.N.T Landscape add-on which instead of modifying geometry, uses a texture displacement instead which is really cool because then it also has automatic texturing to different for different environments like alpine which is the island in the tutorial, might release a Tutorial on it soon because It has so much functionalitys yet no one seems to use it.
