Originally produced in December 2018, 5am in Marrakech comes from a period when Harvin Eagles were deeply immersed in exploring oriental scales and hazy atmospheres. A driving italo-style bassline carries the track forward through reverbed organic drums, while synth riffs and acid lines drift in and out, creating a hypnotic, astral ride somewhere above the Moroccan skyline. Lifelong friends Vince Void and Jimbo Slice have been making music together for close to a decade. After a quieter period in the post-pandemic years, they decided to reconnect and bring their shared vision back to life under the name Harvin Eagles. Rooted in downtempo, dub and psychedelic sounds, the duo is about two minds shaped by years of friendship, experiments and late sessions, using music as a space to explore and express rather than impress.
