Discover how well the Sony Alpha 6300 performs when shooting video for YouTube. Part 1 - Sony Alpha on Amazon ➜ https://geni.us/ucgAF Part 2 - Unboxing ➜ (0:36min) Part 3 - Test Footage ➜ (8:42min) Part 4 - Summary ➜ (12:29min) In this review, I will show you why 4K cameras are becoming more and more popular with people creating video content for YouTube. One main advantage of recording footage in 4K is that the image looks super crisp and sharp. For this, the Sony uses the XAVC codec that can create video files with a very high bit rate. While the resulting videos have a stunning quality, due to the high bit rate and resolution, keep in mind that files can become very big, very quickly! For example, in my testing, 10 minutes of video can create anywhere between 4GB~8GB. The camera allows you to select various settings, XAVC @ 60Mbit/s, or XAVC @ 100Mbit/s, to name a few. Depending on your settings the file size can differ greatly. The main point that I want to bring across it that shooting video in 4K needs a lot of memory, and a modern computer. My old iMac, for example, was struggling somewhat when editing the recorded footage. Make sure your computer has a modern graphics card, sufficient memory, and a decent CPU, otherwise you may run into performance issues. Having said that, of course, you can record Full HD with the Sony as well, and this will be less demanding than shooting in 4K. However, in my opinion, the Sony produces best results when using the XAVC codec, so when shooting Full HD at least select XAVC. Actually, I had the same experience with my Sony Action Cam, and while selecting the MP4 setting creates small files, about 16Mbit/s, the quality is not nearly as good as when using XAVC, and XAVC simply creates larger files. Other than that the Sony is a very nice camera, especially the microphone input seems to be much better than on my Canon EOS M3. #ReviewTechTV / Affiliate Links: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. / // This video does not include product placement.
