La construcción del espacio fue un encuentro de voces y afectos junto a Mónica Sarmiento Archer, Byron Carrión y Hansel Mera, celebrado el 15 de febrero de 2026 en La Nacional Spanish Benevolent Society, en Nueva York. En el marco del Día de San Valentín, este encuentro celebró el afecto como gesto de resistencia, pertenencia y cuidado, reafirmando la palabra como un espacio común para la comunidad migrante. __________ The Construction of Space was a gathering of voices and affects with Mónica Sarmiento Archer, Byron Carrión, and Hansel Mera, held on February 15, 2026, at La Nacional Spanish Benevolent Society in New York City. Under the guiding theme “Affection as Territory,” words unfolded as a shared ground where memory and the migrant experience took shape. Poetry traced invisible bridges between bodies, stories, and displaced geographies. Across two reading sessions, Latin American writers reflected on the bonds that sustain us and the territories shaped through human experience and migration. In the context of Valentine’s Day, the gathering honored affection as an act of resistance, belonging, and care, affirming the spoken word as a collective space for the migrant community.
