Ehumoana Kayllie, from Tahiti with roots in Rimatara, grew up weaving pandanus roses before she even knew it was a business. Today, while finishing her studies in management, she supports her aunt’s handcrafted brand, creating baskets, hats, shell accessories and decorative pieces by hand. Behind every market stand and every woven piece is patience, heritage and family. Ehumoana’s biggest inspiration is her aunt, a woman who taught her that creativity and courage can go hand in hand. For Ehumoana, weaving is a form of identity. And her message to young people is simple: believe in yourself, even on the hard days. This film is part of Creators of the Pacific, funded by the Pacific Funds and delivered by the Global Institute for Leadership.
