Slow January Days | Slow Living | Sewing Project | Rock Painting

Merry Meet, I hope that you are all well. Is it just me or did January fly by? For me, most of it was spent sorting out my new studio space and getting it ready for my new business venture. A little bit more detail is revealed in this video, but I'm not quite ready to fully advertise and share everything with the world yet. Fingers crossed that I will be able to soon. In getting my studio tidy and prepared, it also meant that I finally had to get round to at least starting a sewing project that I had been putting off for a while. Our son is now well over a year old and we're sure that, as much as we love our children, we're not going to be having any more. So it was about time that I got around to properly sorting out the baby clothes that we're not putting into storage and start making the quilted memory blanket. We have so many baby clothes that I may well end up making two. It has been a while since I've taken on a sewing project so I am a little nervous about it but thankfully there are a wealth of tutorials out there to help. I will link the one that I found most helpful below. Other events that happened in the second half of January were the RSPB's 'Big Garden Birdwatch', Mum's birthday, and National Hot Chocolate Day. All in all quite a quiet month which is just what I needed. I have also been finishing off the first of three celebrant training courses which I signed up for.
