Palos Verdes Driving Tour VLOG | Episode 1 Lunada Bay | Moving to Palos Verdes, California

What is it like living in Lunada Bay, Palos Verdes? Let's take a drive through Lunada Bay and see what it is all about! Lunada Bay is a beautiful ocean view area in Palos Verdes Estates, located on the Western side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It has a cute small town feel, wonderful ocean and Catalina views, and depending on the homes location, walkability to Lunada Bay Elementary, Palos Verdes Intermediate School, and even Palos Verdes High School. Lunada Bay is a short 10 minute drive to Redondo Beach, making South Bay beach city access easy! Lunada Bay also has an adorable shopping area that is central to the neighborhood, known as Lunada Plaza, featuring a market, restaurants, gas station and some small shops. Many parts of Palos Verdes lack walkability, but having this central shopping area, makes many parts of Lunada Bay more walkable. There are two unofficial areas in Lunada Bay, lower Lunada and upper Lunada. Lower Lunada is closer to the bluffs, some of the lots have views, but many are flat lots without much of a view. However, it makes the yard much more usable. Lower Lunada is also located around Lunada Plaza, PV High, and Lunada Elementary. Most homes in Lower Lunada are single family homes, except directly surrounding Palos Verdes Drive West, adjacent to Lunada Plaza. This area has condos and townhomes as well. Upper Lunada is all single family homes, and is on the East side of Palos Verdes Drive West, with many of the homes perched into the hill, giving beautiful ocean views. Since the home are often situated more into an inclined lot, the homes are often times multi-level (2-3 stories). Many of the homes have large lots, however, sometimes these vertical lots may not have a lot of usable space, so it something to be aware of when just looking at numbers and sizes. And Palos Verdes Intermediate School is located in the upper Lunada Bay neighborhood.
