2025 Narrowboat Sessions. Johnny McGlynn, 'Ghosts of Donegal'.

Although Johnny McGlynn came over to us from the Canal network hub that is Stoke on Trent he has behind him a huge Irish Musical Heritage and started playing around the age of ten. Originally a Miner, he started out singing in various Rock Bands until one day he branched out on his solo, professional musical career. However, he was meant to be playing on the day as part of a duo with his friend and colleague Declan but sadly Declan tested positive for Covid on the morning of the session so Johnny decided to go it alone. His Duo Sac n Craic has recently become a trio so we hope to have the three of them back this year. His third fantastic piece from his session for us was his 'Ghosts of Donegal' that he wrote in memory of his father's siblings whilst living in a stone cottage in rural Donegal, Ireland.
