Today's Final Cut Pro tutorial will teach you how to permanently add/move your own sound effects or music to the Final Cut Pro software. Having the sound effects in the Final Cut Pro sound effects folder is a HUGE time saver and allows you to quickly scroll through all of your purchased or downloaded SFX, see the audio waveforms of each sound effect, and make a specific selection for your edit. I have no doubt that if you don't already take advantage of this hack, you'll really enjoy the convenience. In the video I don't think I mentioned the fact that once you create the alias/shortcut for your sound effects folder, you can delete that copied one (the one not dragged to the FCPX folder). I'd also like to reiterate that when you download new sound effects and music, you can just drag them to your original SFX folder (the one that we made an alias/shortcut) for, wherever that may be.
