(CASHAPP) $AhshRawchaa (CONTACT US) FIREOFGODCLASSROOM@GMAIL.COM Isaiah 56 drops like A NUKE when it comes to the pages of the Book of Isaiah, a prophecy blazing with a message many overlook. The Most High speaks not only of Israel, but of the strangers—the nations, the foreigners—those once far off. And the condition is clear as fire in the night: they must take hold of the covenant and keep the commandments of God. The prophecy opens with a command that echoes through the ages: “Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.” — Isaiah 56:1 This is not a message of lawlessness. It is a call to obedience before salvation appears. Then the vision widens. The prophet speaks of the “sons of the stranger”—Gentiles who join themselves to the Lord. But the joining is not casual. It is not merely belief or affiliation. The scripture says they must: • Serve the LORD • Love the name of the LORD • Be his servants • Keep the Sabbath • Take hold of his covenant The words ring out in Isaiah 56:6: “Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD… every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant.” The picture is unmistakable. The Gentiles who come to the God of Israel do not remain separate from His law. They embrace it. They walk in the same covenant. And the reward? The Most High declares: “Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer.” The house of God becomes a gathering place for the nations—but not a lawless one. It is a house where those from every people who keep His covenant are welcomed before His altar. Then comes the famous proclamation in Isaiah 56:7: “For mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.” This verse is often quoted, but its foundation is often forgotten. The nations who enter that house are the ones who keep the Sabbath and hold fast to God’s covenant. Isaiah’s prophecy paints a powerful vision of the future: Nations streaming to the God of Israel, not to replace His commandments—but to walk in them.
