Walking Tour: Janpath Road Markets | Tibetan, Mini & Janpath Market, Connaught Place. Tibetan Market, Janpath: 📍 Location: Address: Janpath Road, Janpath, Connaught Place, New Delhi, Delhi 110001. The “Tibetan Market” is essentially a stretch of shops within/adjacent to Janpath market that focus on Tibetan-style handicrafts and artefacts. It is located near Gate No. 2 of the Janpath Metro Station (on the Violet Line) for easy metro access. The broader Janpath Market comprises various sub-markets (Tibetan, Gujarati, flea market etc.). Tibetan handicrafts: thangka paintings, brass/metal idols, singing bowls, wooden masks. Jewellery & semi-precious stones: tribal style bracelets, necklaces, silver/metal items. Home décor items: wall hangings, accessories, unique artefacts. Also clothes, footwear, accessories (though the Tibetan section is better known for the handicrafts). The Janpath Market is a street-shopping stretch along Janpath Road. It includes multiple sub-areas or lanes: the so-called “Tibetan Market”, the “Gujarati Lane” or “Gujarati Market”, the main market stalls, and the “Mini Market”/”Old Mini Market” section. Main Janpath Market / Street Market: This covers the broader stretch: clothes (both Indian & western), cheap footwear, accessories, home décor, souvenirs. For example: alive with fashion-forward street-wear (flowy pants, jumpsuits), bags/totes, etc. Bargaining is expected. Gujarati Market / Gujarati Lane: A lane next to the metro station, within the Janpath complex. Known for: colourful bags, pillow-cases, bedsheets, umbrellas, mirror-embroidered textiles, kurtas and shirts, jewellery (Afghani earrings etc). Good for vibrant textiles and home linens. The Mini Market specifically is described as the stretch “connecting Parliament Street and Janpath Road” between Indian Oil Bhawan & Jeevan Bharti Building, containing shops & “tharas” (stalls). It’s known for travel-friendly prices, a wide variety of goods and heavy bargaining. ⏰ Timings: 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 🎥Month: November, 2025 🌝Temperature: 25°C/77°F ⌚Time: 3:15 P.M. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thanks for watching, D.
