Root of All Evil: Humans, Orcs, and Elves Shatter the Nightmare-Heart to Save a Strangled World.

A sentient, Emerald Overgrowth has mutated into a parasitic jungle, strangling cities and turning living beings into mindless "Leaf-Thralls." The Kingdom of Stormwind, the Warsong Outriders, and the Night Elf Sentinels are locked in a "Border War," burning each other’s territories to create fire-breaks against the encroaching vines. Deep within the Un’Goro Crater, a Nightmare-Heart—a corrupted seed from the Great Dark—is pulse-beating, rewriting the planet’s DNA. As the vines begin to puppet the corpses of fallen soldiers, a Human Scout, an Orcish Axemaster, and a Night Elf Druid realize that their fires are only clearing space for the Nightmare to grow faster. Ending their skirmish, the three armies launch a desperate "Scorch-Earth" march to the Crater’s core. In a triumphant, unified strike: Humans used holy incense to shield the troops from the hallucinogenic spores. Orcs carved a path through the iron-hard brambles with enchanted, magma-dipped axes. Elves performed the "Song of the Dryad," forcing the Nightmare-Heart to bloom prematurely and wither. As the vines turned to ash, the three kingdoms stood in the center of a new, clean clearing, the first survivors of the Great Weeding.
