In this video I’m disassembling my N1 headlight to repair the reflectors which have turned yellow. I have tried to document the process as much as possible and left extra bits in so that others watching this video would then hopefully feel comfortable enough to disassemble their own headlight. The task itself is not too difficult, but what makes it riskier is the fact that N1 headlights have become so expensive, and if you break something you can’t simply can’t replace that part. It’s extremely important to take your time if you’re doing this job, and I highly recommend that you try this on a wrecker headlight first. I go through the step-by-step procedure to take apart the headlight, remove the reflectors, install the reflectors and then assemble the headlight back together. The reflectors were repaired by a company that used a vacuum metalising process to recoat them in an extremely shiny and factory looking coating. If you have any questions that I didn’t cover in this video, please feel free to comment and I will try my best to help you.
