Looking to clear The Blood Furnace smoothly on Normal or Heroic in TBC Classic? This guide breaks down every boss fight, key trash mechanics, and what changes between Normal and Heroic difficulty. Located in Hellfire Citadel in Hellfire Peninsula, Blood Furnace is one of the most punishing early dungeons — especially on Heroic. With heavy caster trash, silences, bombs, and massive burst damage, preparation is everything. In this video we cover: ✔️ How to unlock Heroic (Flamewrought Key – Revered with Honor Hold / Thrallmar) ✔️ Important trash mob mechanics (Technicians, Annihilators, Rogues & more) ✔️ Normal vs Heroic boss differences ✔️ Badge of Justice & Primal Nether rewards ✔️ Positioning tips to avoid unnecessary wipes If you're farming rep, gearing for Karazhan, or pushing Heroic badges, this guide will make your run much smoother. 00:00 - Start 12:12 - The Maker 24:23 - Broggok 30:15 - Keli'dan the Breaker 🩸 The Blood Furnace – Boss Strategies (Normal vs Heroic Breakdown) 🧪 The Maker ✅ Normal Strategy Mostly a tank-and-spank fight. Watch for Domination (Mind Control) — be ready to CC the affected player. Exploding Beaker knocks players back — avoid standing near edges or extra packs. Keep simple positioning and burn him down. 🔥 Heroic Strategy Exploding Beaker hits MUCH harder (~2.5k damage). Healers must be ready for burst damage. Mind-controlled players can be dangerous — react quickly with CC. Defensive cooldowns help stabilize after knockbacks. 🧟 Broggok (Event-based encounter after pulling the lever — defeat 4 waves first.) ✅ Normal Strategy Handle waves carefully before boss engages. Avoid standing in Poison Cloud (green circles). Tank keeps boss faced away from group. Ranged stay spread to reduce poison damage. Wait for poison to clear after kill before looting. 🔥 Heroic Strategy Waves hit significantly harder — CC is highly recommended. Poison damage is more punishing — movement is critical. Healer mana can be strained during waves — pace cooldowns. Poor positioning will quickly wipe the group. 🔥 Keli'dan the Breaker (Final boss — begins after killing the 5 Shadowmoon Channelers.) ✅ Normal Strategy Kill Channelers first to start encounter. Spread out to minimize Shadow Bolt Volley damage. When he yells “Come closer!” — immediately run away to avoid Fire Nova. Simple mechanics, heavy emphasis on awareness. 🔥 Heroic Strategy All abilities deal significantly more damage. Shadow Bolt Volley can overwhelm the healer if players stack. Fire Nova can nearly one-shot careless players. Strong positioning and quick reaction to voice lines are mandatory. ⚠️ Heroic Trash Warning Heroic Blood Furnace is often harder than the bosses: Shadowmoon Technicians → Silence + Proximity Bombs (deadly) Felguard Annihilators → Threat drops + Charge Laughing Skull Legionnaires → Massive melee burst Frequent stuns on tanks can cause threat loss Bring: Reliable interrupts Crowd control (Warlock Banish is huge) Strong tank mitigation Awareness from DPS
