Hi y’all! In this video I flip through all of my planners and notebooks from the past 6 years. Flipping through my favorite pages in all the books, I talk about how my overall system for planning and journaling has evolved. My biggest take away from all my books is the following: 1. As much as I hate having to do lists and meal plans in the middle of any memory keeping, having all the things together helps me use them. Whenever I separate planning and journaling, the journaling will stop happening. planning is a necessity for me and journaling/memory keeping is an extra “for fun” activity 2. Just because something is appealing and seems to work in theory- doesn’t mean it will work for me. Just because something has worked in the past, does not mean that it will work now. Don’t force it! 3. This is all for fun, I know that functionally all I need is a weekly view/list and my Google calendar so this is all meant to be functional and fun!! By planning and documenting my life on paper I’m able to note the tiny good moments in everyday ( like the conversation with a stranger or pretty butterfly) all things that I can’t easily capture in a digital calendar. Only books missing from this lineup are my current planner, hobonichi cousin, passport travelers notebook, and hobonichi weeks. I have videos on my channel up for all of those if you’re interested! Thanks so much for watching, tell me about your system or how you have planned over the years down below! #hobonichi #hobonichiweeks #hobonichicousin #bulletjournal #stalogy #travelersnotebook #fountainpen #midori #happyplanner #planner Timestamps 0:00 intro 0:30 first bullet journal - Midori MD 2:50 happy planner 3:11 A6 Stalogy - journaling + planning 4:38 hobonichi day free 5:10 hobonichi cousin 5:25 Leuchtturm 1917 A5 7:46 SAME LAYOUTS 7:58 half letter discs 9:50 A5 Stalogy 13:20 happy planner again 14:18 what I learned
