Surviving 70MPH winds and navigating the Wrightwood fire closure on my PCT thru-hike! In this leg of the journey, Ranger and I push through Cajon Pass, battle insane gale-force winds, and lose the trail in a dense "Misty Mountain" fog. Stick around to see my unique Relive satellite map showing the most photogenic spots from this section. In this video: • Extreme Weather: Battling 70MPH gusts and using our backpacks as sails in Cajon Pass. • The Wrightwood Fire Closure: Navigating my first skipped miles and the eerie road walk through the burn zone. • Hiking Gear & Apps: How I use the Relive App to track my PCT journey with 3D maps and pins. • Trail Life: Making a "stoner meal" breakfast of couscous, potatoes, and pickled veggies in Swarthout Canyon. • The Grind: Climbing a "99% grade" 600ft scramble after losing the trail. • Lots of laughs: We joke a lot to stay sane through the pain and madness. 📍 Locations Featured: • Cajon Pass (PCT Mile 342) • Swarthout Canyon • Wrightwood, CA If you're planning your own PCT thru-hike or just love outdoor adventure, subscribe to follow the journey to Canada! #backpackinglife #pacificcresttrail #pct2025 #adventuretravel #nomad My gear: https://lighterpack.com/r/uqp44t Some of the links to the products in my Lighterpack are Amazon Affiliate links and if you purchase from those links, I may profit, which will go directly to supporting this channel!
