Board: Neo80 Cu (copper bottom) Case Color: Anodized Jade Mounting Style: Poron Gasket Mount Plate: Non-Flex Cut Aluminum Switches: Cherry MX2A Blacks (L/F/SS) Foams: None Keycaps: GMK Botanical Additional Mods: Force Break This is a first impressions video on the Neo80 Cu since I'll be out of town the next week. I haven't added the Neo80 Cu to the website request feature for this reason as well, however I can take suggestions for what kinds of configurations you'd like to see in the longer video. I have two plates, the normal Alu plate and a PP plate. Feel free to write your suggestions down in the comments! First Impressions: Wow, this thing is HEAVY. I weighed it at around 9.2lbs fully built and I have one of the lighter configurations. The weight makes it feel really premium but can also be a bit cumbersome to move around. Design wise, I love the side profile. The elegant curves are subtle and minimal while not being boring. The back's three layered, tolberlone-esq design is also very appealing. I initially didn't think I'd like the overly curvy bottom but over time it's grown on me. I still think the square feet don't do the back justice but you never really look there anyways. I also actually really enjoy the logo next to the Nav Cluster which I know might be controversial, but I think it adds a bit of charm to the board. The sound is also amazing. I thought it would be a lot more thuddy due to the massive weight but it was surprisingly nice. I still force broke to be sure though. I'll do a more comprehensive comparison in my longer review video. The poron gasket produces an older, traditional sound profile. I feel like this combo with Cherry and Alu is what a lot of people consider the "standard" Cherry on Alu sound. The poron gaskets are also have some give to them so although the pcb won't be bouncing as you type, it's not stiff at all. I just recently did a sound test of Cherry Mx2as in Carbon Fiber in the Neo65 Cu and I'd say that the Neo65 Cu sounds more lively and poppy but also being quieter. I think personally I enjoy the Neo65 Cu sound profile a bit better but that's not so say this is any bad, I could also type on this for days on end. The designers at Qwertykeys and Neo have just been killing it with their boards. The only criticism I have is that this might be a bit too heavy for some but that's something to expect going into this board.
