No Carve Pumpkin Flower Arrangement - A Floral Design Challenge

Hello Flower Friends! I'm Ellen. I'm a florist, newsletter writer and host of FlowerMore (https://flowermore.mn.co/) an online community of flower nerds who dig deep into the endlessly fascinating world of flowers! In this video I make a flower arrangement on top of a pumpkin (no carving!) using an Oshun Pouch to hold and hydrate my design. This is my first time trying this technique. Similar designs I've made in the past would require carving out the pumpkin and placing a vase holding my arrangement inside. This is way easier with less mess. This is a design challenge for my online community, FlowerMore - make a seasonal arrangement using a pumpkin, gourd or squash as the base. Each month I make a inspo video for members to flex their design skills. We then share and talk about what we made. It's dope. After I soak the Oshun Pouch, I tape it onto the pumpkin using Alien Tape and floral tape on top of a dish. I just poke the flora right into the pouch. For foliage I use nine bark, goldenrod and geranium. I had some dried black pussy willow that adds some festivity. For flowers I use seasonal celosia, hairy balls, marigolds, dahlias, strawflowers, sea oats and Oklahoma zinnias. This sucker is loaded.
