Disruptor Array Akira Complex vs kiraku BPM: 230 Difficulty: GLITCH 18 (18.0) The memoir of Linked Gate SUN. Lost, but not forgotten. --------- What does it mean to die? The human mind is painfully fragile. For a moment our brilliance and humanity can break away from the control of the chemical pathways in our brain, but eventually we will be at its mercy. And once we do, one can only wonder what more we could have been and could have had, a thought no less applicable to a great artist like Akira Complex. As once a cytus and arcaea player, and eventually a chunithm player, I experienced many of Akira's most popular works, Ether Strike, Hydra, etc.. And just as their work got featured as the main song for the collab of what was my two main games, so did their trajectory in life came to a sudden halt. But as much as the initial impact of the news pains me, I'm far more upset about what they could have got going. With many songs in hits like arcaea and chunithm, one can imagine their career can only go up from here. We could have had many more iconic songs, in many more games, to be remembered by many more people. Maybe linked gate SUN would be written by Akira Complex instead if they were still around. But now, every possible future world with them has vanished into nothing. All we can do is listen to the work they've left behind, and imagine in vain how much more great music we could have had if Akira Complex is still with us. --------- I've always toyed with the idea of making a multifinger Cytus chart, and this feeling got stronger with the release of last resort glitch and absolutely overpowering with the release of linked gate ORIGIN a.k.a. 神鳴. I forgot exactly why I picked disruptor array for this work. I'm certain that part of it is my love for this song, but maybe part of me also wanted to properly pay tribute to Akira Complex, and maybe there was also part of me that thought it fit my desire to make a chart where the song demands that the chart be totally overwhelming. Luckily, the original disruptor array chart in chunithm was very suitable for porting into cytus (compared to some other random shit like 風唄), with the bpm change actually being helpful with presenting the chart. Truthfully, I was never able to perfectly translate any music into charting elements, and it was no different in this one, but I think I at least achieved my own goal of delivering the intensity and tempo of the song, with a finger-breaking-ly difficult chart at that (it was actually somehow in the lower echelon in old chunithm 15s, a 15.1, but after the port into cytus we also have vertical movements so it becomes harder). I hope I've done a good enough job at presenting to you my very rough interpretation of Disruptor Array, a song of pure power, energy and groove. Now, it's time to show up in the party and do a mic check. Powering the Disruptor. Don't stop and keep the beat. Edit: This chart replicates many parts of the original chunithm chart which is by CODE:Violetta , mainly the 4k parts.
