Ashitih Utsav 2019 marked the landmark 80th birthday (Ashitih means 80 in Sanskrit) of Padmashri Dr Puru Dadheech on the 17th July 2019. This was celebrated in Indore with great pomp and enthusiasm by all his students across the globe. This has now become an annual event. Owing to the current situations we present this year's Ashitih Utsav 2021- 3rd edition in its virtual format. Deepak ji performs the traditional famous kriti "Krishna nee begane baro" in his own unique interpretation. This is followed by the famous bhajan " Bharat Bhai Kapise" sung by none other than Sangeet Markand Pandit Jasraj. Performer, teacher & choreographer these are the three attributes that describe Deepak Mazumdar, he has carved out a special niche in the world of Indian classical dancing and has created an everlasting impression by his prowess in 'Abhinaya'. First to the Chief mentor Padma Bhushan Dr. Smt Kanak Rele. who groomed him to be a dignified and aesthetic performer par excellence. Deepakji innate sense & rhythm was honed and developed under the tala wizard Vidwan Kalaimamani, late Guru Shri. T. S. Kadhirvelu of Tirugokarna. Padmashree Guru Adyar K. Lakshamanan, founder director Bharatha Choodamani and Padmabhushan Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan added fragrance to the skill in the art of this consummnate performer.
