An introduction to early 6 PPC Benchrest Rifles

In this crude video, I give a brief introduction to an early 6 mm PPC benchrest rifle from the 1970s and a second, later 6 mm PPC benchrest rifle from 1991. I show some of the powders and bullets used in the early days after the 6 mm PPC was introduced to the existing world of benchrest. This type of rifle and cartridge quickly displaced the 222 Remington (the triple deuce) and eventually replaced other variants of the 222 Remington that had previously dominated benchrest competition since the mid 1950s. These rifles featured very heavy, stainless steel barrels rarely more than 20 inches in length and custom Remington triggers, usually 2 ounces of pressure for release.
