I've been asked a few times if I planned on doing a song for the hero in Oh Hero, Mine and decided it was appropriate to give insight into why the hero gave into the darkness at the end of the song. This is the hero's perspective up until he meets the evil queen in Oh Hero, Mine. I might do a song at some point where it's him struggling to reject the evil queen's statements and promises of peace before finally giving in, but if I do it likely won't be for a while. The next song is meant as a counterpart to this one and will be named 'Villains Can't Care'. I wanted this to be a two part series that first explores how heroes are always viewed as infallible and never waver, but that their adventures and losses weigh on them just as heavily as any human. Meanwhile villains are viewed as evil and unable to care about others beyond their value to the villains plan, but most villains have a reason they turned out that way and aren't necessarily evil as much as broken, like the hero at the end of this song and Oh Hero, Mine.
