A short film about siblings, school bullies, and trading cards from Magic the Gathering! Will Willow return to the fast-paced duels of trading cards to help her brother, or abandon him to remain popular among her friends? Synopsis: What do we do when standing up for what’s right means losing something important to us? Willow, a retired trading card game champion, only wants to fit in with her highschool friends. But her younger brother Ethan, Willow’s not-so-good prodigy, gets kicked out of the card club by its prideful and egocentric leader, Gary. Now Ethan needs her help to stand up to his bully by defeating Gary in a trading card game tournament. Willow must choose to either maintain her image with her friends, or do what’s right and forever be called a “nerd.” This short was made to fulfill curriculum requirements for the Communications Department at Vanguard University.
