The Laugavegur Trail of Iceland: A botanical journey - Sean Haughian
Sean Haughian, the Curator of Botany at the Nova Scotia Museum, presents a slideshow to the Nova Scotia Wild Flora Society about his 2017 trek along the world-famous Laugavegur trail in Iceland. Sean shares photos of many unfamiliar ecosystems, such as black deserts, high alpine glaciers, and jagged lava fields, as well as a few familiar ecosystems, such as riverside valleys and heathlands, while emphasizing the characteristic and exceptional plants throughout. This was our first combination live and Zoom presentation and there were some technical problems. The audio for the first minute has an echo on it and the music over the Star Wars animated intro is missing. Starting at 2:10, everything is working well (pretty much).
