The Italian Lake District! A ride from SESTO CALENDE bridge, which sits on the mouth of Lake Maggiore where the River Ticino exits south to the Mediterranean Sea. I ride the lake edge North through ARONA and STRESA, where I look at the Cable car, Islands and Hotels! Then its onward to the port town of INTRA (47km) to catch a ferry, east bound across the southern part of the lake to LAVENO. After a coffee (!) I set back to south bund on the east lake shore to try to beat sunset, through ISPRA, ANGERA and back to SESTO CALENDE.
