This video goes with my book The ACT Math Guide, which is free for Amazon Prime members ($9.99 if you don't have Prime). You can get the book at http://amzn.to/2iQNDFE or check it out on my website http://www.thetestuy.com/actbook. This video in the ACT Math Review deals with Algebraic plug-in problems. They're the second most common elementary algebra question (behind make-an-equation). The skills you'll use here are fundamental; you'll need them again and again all over the test. Here's a couple of tricks. 1. Be careful! Write down the equation, write down your variables. The most common mistake on these problems is goofing up the equation or plugging-in incorrectly. 2. Work step-by-step. Once you get the knack of these, they won't take very long, so you'll have plenty of time to work these one step at a time. Remember, the simplest question counts as much as the hardest question, so get all the points you "should" get. 3. Don't re-arrange before plugging-in. It tends to be confusing, take longer, and increases the likelihood of error. Since I never remember to ask for it in videos, I'd love it if you liked and/or subscribed. Good Luck, Jacob
