I just ask that you subscribe so people can find it on YouTube who might have an interest in ham radio or radio of all kinds. The Elecraft K4D should be coming to the channel about any day now according to what I was told by Elecraft. I should be one of the first YouTube channels in the world to have this radio… Stay tuned! Ham Radio Live Show 122. Spring is coming! It’s time to think of working outdoors again and getting your antennas whether they be vertical or dipoles HIGH ENOUGH to be efficient! One word of note, Daniel from the US wrote into the show asking about using egg and fed Antenna and “stringing it straight up a tree.“ that will definitely work… However it’s important to also mention that it would be best to have ground radios installed for that antenna so it can function properly because essentially you’ve created now a “Vertical Antenna.“ Because of the coronavirus, getting parts is more difficult and time delays are now “normal.” If you order these products now, you should have no problem receiving them by the time the cold weather breaks and it’s time to start putting up new or repaired antennas again for spring! Here are some great products from MFJ that I’ve personally reviewed and know a lot about. Having no trees on my property or tall structures is no longer a burden to me because I have a way to get them up high enough that they can have a lower takeoff and go and be effective for DX work.
