See this watch on our website: https://goo.gl/EpTT2r Greetings, and welcome to the world of Baume & Mercier. Today I'll be your guide to the Baume & Mercier Clifton Club Automatic, Reference 10340. You can see this 42 ml versatile stainless steel reference and the entire collection of Baume & Mercier premium Swiss timepieces on our website, govbergwatches.com. Now, this is a timepiece designed to be equally at home in a bathing suit or business suit, by the water cooler or on the water slide. Versatility starts with a bracelet. Three rows, alternately satin and polished stainless steel, that eliminates the hesitation one feels when taking a fine watch on leather near water or into the line of fire with sweat, moisture, heat and grit. The bracelet providing strength and durability, matched with an equally formidable twin-triggered double deployant steel Baume & Mercier clasp, better to avoid dropping the watch while donning or removing it at bedside. Security provided by the clasp, a beautiful, integrated and coherent aesthetic is provided by the bracelet. You can see how the mono-material flow from bracelet to conforming end link to the beautiful swell of the integrated lugs creates a fluid appearance, almost like metal drawn while still molten. The characteristic Clifton horn-to-horn polished bevel, flanking a satin-finished case band and flowing beautifully into a knurled and polished outer bezel, separated from the dial by a unidirectional bezel structure, which you can use by aligning the unidirectional index with the minute hand, for timing an impromptu interval. Anything from a shallow dive to the time between meetings. It's that kind of watch. Now, it's alternately sporting and formal, fine and refined. The watch features a wonderfully subtle matte-black dial to eliminate glare, high-contrast applied indices counter-sunk into the seconds track, which is itself slightly stepped, with a hairline accent of orange matching the orange seconds hand at center. Now, sporting elements of the watch include the 100m water resistance, and it does feature robust, solid case back, screwed in, screw-down crown, crown guards to protect the crown and stem structure, and of course, the unidirectional dive-style bezel, easily legible in light, low-light or no light at all, this is a timepiece that quite frankly never needs to be removed from the wrist. Protected internally is a Swiss automatic caliber, 38 hour power reserve with smooth bi-directional winding action, it beats at a modern 28,800 vibrations per hour, or what's known as a high beat rate. It also features stop seconds, so if you are using the watch for sporting arrangements, you can pull the crown to extremity, hold the balance, stop the seconds hand, and now you can synchronize the watch to the second against a reference timer. There is also a quick-set function for the date, such that should it run down, you can easily correct the date of the watch, also useful if you encounter an irregular length month. Now, the watch is quite honestly a two-way player. 42mm, it's neither undersized nor oversized. Equal measure refined and capable, this is a timepiece that can be worn in almost any circumstance by any man.
