He got the best then sent it to me to be filled. I added the following. 1. Charcloth. 2. River Birch. 3. Chert. 4. Jute cordage. 5. Milkweed ovum. 6. Chaga. 7.Fatwwod. There are a total of 3 arm lengths of jute to each kit which doubles as cordage and tinder bundle material to blow the charcoth coal into flames. The birch bark protects the charcoth from the contents and is a hydrocarbon rich tinder. Fatwood is well known and is a wonderful tinder to hold the flames from the tinder bundle in difficult conditions. The chaga and milkweed ovum are natural tinders which can catch the marginal spark shaven off the carbon steel via chert impact. Chaga will also act as coal extender.
