Original song is written and recorded by Russian Circles, all credits go to them - Update: just today may 28th a Riff Rundown video was released demonstrating how it is actually played and I was fairly close! Hey guys! Glad to be back covering Russian Circles, a long long loong time favorite post-rock band. 'Arluck' seems to be the first song released by them this year and will of course part of their upcoming studio work "Blood Year". Arluck is a fairly easy one to learn after a couple passes, tuning is Drop B. Trickiest part was the tapping sections which may sound odd at first, but turned out to be quite simple. Though this may not be a 100% it should be pretty darn close. Recording chain goes as follows Tele - Bogner Wessex OD - Memory Toy - Amp/Cab - C 414 II + MD 421 - Pro tools. I really hope you don't mind my phone's auto focus and small lag-gap around minute 01 *sigh! Sidenote: At 3:46 I perform a Volume Pot swell to recreate the pad. I thought I would clarify that right away since my right hand is out of the shot during that section. Well I guess that's it!
