A day of searching thrift stores and antique malls for something along the lines of a Magnus or similar chord organ lead to this much greater discovery. For $50, I got this awesome Baldwin Fun Machine at the Goodwill. This beast wouldn't fit in my car, but that's what friends (handsomely rewarded with a Jim Nabors 8-track) are for. The extraneous noise is not from the organ, but from the air conditioning unit and whatever else is making noise in the basement. (I'll have to deal with that later when it's time to use this on proper recordings.) The melody I play at the end is from "Gatsby" by The Deloreans.
