Many people ask me how to make Garritan CFX sound better. This is pianist Keunyoung Song. I'm a huge fan of virtual instruments, especially for grand pianos. I've collected more than 30 piano VSTs so far, and I want to share some of my most used piano VSTs. For the comparison, I played the "Mendelssohn's Wedding March" arranged with swing/Ragtime style and hope you may get some tastes of these VSTs when played with jazz music. I played this song with Keyscape first where I extended sustain pedal a bit wider afterward as the sound disappears quite soon when switching notes and releasing the keys when sustain pedal is temporarily up. And then I copied the MIDI to all other 7 tracks but I got some weird results sounding somewhat muddy because of the differences of the sustain pedal values between Keyscape and others. Please mind this when listening. FYI, every track was mixed & mastered with Waves L1 Ultramaximizer & H-Reverb. I tried my best to make the volume and dynamics even for each track for a fair comparison.
