According to a department statement, a couple from San Benito County, both confirmed to have the coronavirus, represent no elevated risk to the public. The pair remained at home before being hospitalized in San Francisco, therefore posing a low risk to the community. In New York City, three people are being tested for the virus, including one patient who is hospitalized. Authorities say the 60-year-old had fever symptoms and shortness of breath, but is in a stable condition. The three patients all had recently been to China, but the authorities say it is not yet confirmed that they have the virus. Local health authorities are taking the possibility seriously and they are well prepared. Health officials are telling New Yorkers not to be overly concerned.
